NON-MOLESTATION ORDERS: A LEGAL NARRATIVE

The fundamental purpose of a non-molestation order is to prohibit a respondent from engaging in any conduct that amounts to molestation and to secure the health, safety and well-being of the applicant or any relevant children.

Occupation Order Checklist (Sections 33–38 FLA 1996)

an "associated person" (Section 62(3) FLA 1996) Eligible if they are:
  • Spouse / former spouse
  • Civil partner / former civil partner
  • Cohabitant / former cohabitant
  • Intimate partner of significant duration
  • Parent of same child
  • Relative (by blood, marriage, or civil partnership)
